This booklet will show you how to create an early childhood environment that encourages children to interact with one another.

The information is aimed primarily at children over age three. However, many of the strategies can be applied to younger children who are having difficulties getting involved with their peers.

The beautifully illustrated interactive booklets in the Teacher Talk Workbook series are based on the scientifically grounded approach found in the manual, Learning Language and Loving It.

The three booklets in the series include space for educators to create individualized plans for implementation of strategies in their own settings. The Teacher Talk Workbook series includes Encouraging Language Development in Early Childhood Settings; Let Language Lead the Way to Literacy; and Fostering Peer Interaction in Early Childhood Settings and are available separately and as an economical set.

Books in the series are available in English and Spanish and may also be ordered in French.

Color illustrations. 28 pages. 2008
