In this story, Ari is a 7-year-old client who begins to see Dr. J, a local psychologist, for psychotherapy regarding recent bullying. Whereas there exists much literature geared towards adult audiences that explains child psychotherapy, Wednesday Afternoons with Dr. J is geared towards explaining the process of psychotherapy to the child client to capitalize on the notion that children can be empowered to safeguard both their physical and mental health.
